Upcoming Sundays
This Sunday, April 19:
In this Earth Day Service, we explore what it means to be in sacred relationship with the living world, not as owners, but as participants in an interconnected web of life. Grounded in Unitarian Universalist Values, this service invites us to renew our covenant with the Earth through gratitude, responsibility, and everyday acts of care that honor both present and future generations.

Sunday Service on April 26:
We live in an age that trusts data, yet hungers for meaning. As it turns out, those two impulses may not be as far apart as we think. Science is increasingly finding that spiritual practice and religious community contribute measurably to human health, resilience, and longevity. This service explores what the research reveals and what it cannot fully explain. What is it about gathering together, about ritual and shared purpose, that does something medicine alone cannot?

Register now for General Assembly
The cost of attending General Assembly (GA) goes up on May 1. Registration is required to participate in all GA events, except for the Sunday morning worship service on June 21.
Rev. Jen Youngsun Ryu will lead Sunday Morning Worship service at GA this year. The service will be livestreamed on Sunday, June 21, at 11:00 am. It promises to be a powerful and communal experience – the largest annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists in worship.
In Sarasota we will have our regular Sunday morning service, followed by our regular coffee "hour" for 30 minutes. At 12 noon we will broadcast the GA's Sunday morning worship service in the Lexow Wing. Light refreshments will be provided. We can pool our pennies and order pizza, if that's what the group decides. No registration required - just come.
General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), where participants gather to worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy decisions for the Association through a democratic process.
This year's General Assembly will be both virtual and on-site in Louisville, Kentucky. While GA begins Sunday afternoon, June 14, with business meetings, the bulk of the activities will be Friday evening, June 19, through Sunday afternoon, June 21. The weekend features worship, learning, and community events including the Meet the Moment Overview and breakouts, Ware Lecture, Community Sing, and Sunday Worship, bringing our movement together in faith, spirit, and purpose. More details are available on our General Assembly 2026 page.
The Rev. Jen Youngsun Ryu (she/her) serves the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene, Oregon, arriving in 2021 while the building was still closed and the congregation was finding its way back to one another. Born in Seoul and raised in Ohio, she found Unitarian Universalism as a young adult in Baltimore and was drawn to a faith that honors both the tough mind and the tender heart.
