Democracy is not a spectator sport. Being a patriotic American means engaging in the democratic process by voting in local as well as state and federal elections. And by letting your voice be heard.
 
Step 1 - Register to vote. It’s now easier than ever. You can even register to vote online.

Step 2 - Know who’s representing you. If you’re not sure of who your representatives are, click here. Simply type in your address to access your state and federal Representatives.

Step 3 – Speak out. Click here to access the contact information for your local, state and federal representatives as well their meeting schedules.

There are many ways to share your opinions with your local, state and federal representatives. Or get involved with a local group passionate about a personal interest. But sometimes sorting through a sea of websites can seem daunting.   • MeetUp If you’re concerned about where the country is heading, join others who care about what's happening to democracy, equality, human rights, social justice, sustainability, and other important topics.
