Dear Members and Friends of UUSRQ,

Looking back at this past year, we celebrate the many ways we have each supported one another through our own personal growth, resilience in challenging times, and meaningful connection through shared commitment.

MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER into the next year, we can strengthen our commitment, connection, resilience and action.

​Highlights of how we proudly demonstrated our mission in this past year:
COMMITMENT to our members and broader community
■ Passed a new Mission and Vision statement.
■ Developed leadership to build a multicultural, multigenerational future
■ Increased our presence in the community through social media/press releases/active participation in community events/volunteering with diverse organizations

CONNECTION to foster spiritual vitality within our congregation and involvement with the broader community
■ Expanded new member get-togethers and See Sarasota outings
■ Held “Freedom to Read” with Social Justice Alliance of Southwest Florida
■ Hosted Remembrance Project Soil Collection ceremony with Boxer Diversity Institute

​ACTION to support democratic values at UUSRQ and the broader community
■ Awarded UU the Vote designation as a “Good Trouble” congregation
■ Supported YES on 4 with phone banking, canvassing, writing postcards
■ Established composting collection on UUSRQ campus

RESILIENCE in ourselves and in our community
■ Supported Voices of Florida at the UUSRQ campus to provide hurricane relief
■ Provided safe meeting spaces for SEE Alliance and other LGBTQ+ groups
■ Showed the UU Justice interview with Steve Phillips on “How We Will Win the Civil War”

MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER to continue achieving our goals requires three key elements: dedicated members, amazing staff and our beautiful UUSRQ campus. Reflecting on how UUSRQ
has impacted your life, and looking ahead, we ask you to increase your last year pledge by $25 per month. Your generosity will enable us to even more effectively continue living our values, and
carrying those values out into our world.
