Our's is an open faith tradition centered in love for all people and our beautiful, amazing home we call Earth.
Unitarian Universalists (aka the "UUs") seek spiritual meaning and uplift from sacred texts across all religions, from science, from philosophy, from mysticism, art, music and so much more. We are active in creating a better world through justice, advocacy and mutual aid. Though we may not all have the same spiritual beliefs, we are connected through our shared ethical and moral values, which place love at the center. Founded on Christian values, early Unitarian Universalists recognized that requiring statements of belief or adherence to strict religious rules or laws created systems to divide and oppress people—the opposite of the teachings of Jesus' liberation theology.
