Join us for
General Assembly 2026
June 19-21

PicturePeople attending a recent GA.
Our campus will be a Community Gathering location for this year's General Assembly June 19 - 21. This will allow registered participants to experience GA together, offering opportunities for worship, discussion, and connection in a familiar setting while sharing in the same inspiring content as all other GA participants.

Light refreshments will be available at all the events, However, we are not planning to provide lunch or dinner on Saturday during the 1 1/2-hour lunch break from 12:30 to 2 pm, nor the 2-hour dinner break from 6 pm till 8 pm. Many fine restaurants are available near the campus for those two meals.

On Sunday, we will have our regular Sunday worship service from 10:30 to 11:30, followed by a 30-minute coffee "hour." Then, at 12 noon, we will show General Assembly's Sunday morning worship service.
Light refreshments will again be provided. And we can pool our pennies and order pizza, if that's what the group decides. No registration required for this Sunday event - just come.

If you are coming from out of town, we are located at 3975 Fruitville Road. On I-75 that's exit 210. On US-41 it's the Fruitville Road roundabout.

Here's our schedule:

On Friday evening we will gather in community to begin the weekend of General Assembly worship and programming. This Ingathering service will invite us into sacred space together, centering our spirits through music, reflection, and ritual. Rooted in the theme Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere, the service will prepare us to move into the weekend with intention, connection, and shared purpose

Saturday, June 20, 2026
  • Meet the Moment: Opening Program: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
We begin Saturday with a shared virtual experience for all participants. The Opening Program will introduce Meet the Moment as a movement-wide framework that calls Unitarian Universalists to shared analysis-building, collective discernment, and faithful action in response to today’s shifting cultural, generational, political, and religious realities. Together we will reflect on the ways our tradition has always been both grounded in core values and open to transformation, and we will prepare our spirits for the day of learning ahead.

  • Meet the Moment: Breakout Groups: 1:30 – 4:30 pm
Following the Opening Program, participants will join Wave Cohorts, with options to participate virtually or locally, for deeper engagement with the practices of Meet the Moment. There will be several Wave Cohorts in each setting to choose from, focused on a particular topic that is critical to Unitarian Universalism in this Moment. Each Wave Cohort will guide participants through a Meet the Moment process, analyzing the Moment we are in, identifying the needs and opportunities of this Moment, and using our shared values to identify ways we can Meet the Moment, together. We will consider what it means to let go of what no longer serves, embrace new possibilities, and act with courage and love in changing times.

  • Featured Speaker 1: 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Participants are invited to join the first Featured Speaker address of the afternoon. A second Featured Speaker session will follow, offering another opportunity to gather and listen to a featured voice. Both sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing for those participating in concurrent programming.
  • Featured Speaker 2: 3:30 – 4:30 pm
  • Meet the Moment: Wrap-Up Session: 5:00 – 6:00 pm
We close our Meet the Moment programming by coming together for a virtual Wrap-Up Session that gathers the wisdom, insights, and commitments arising from our Wave Cohort experiences. This time of collective reflection will help us weave connections across the movement and carry forward what we are learning about how Unitarian Universalists can faithfully Meet this Moment, together everywhere.

  • Sunday Worship: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Sunday morning worship is the heart of General Assembly, drawing our entire community together in shared spirit. Through music, preaching, and ritual, we will ground ourselves in our Unitarian Universalist faith and be renewed for the work of justice, compassion, and community in the world.

  • In Sarasota we will have our regular Sunday morning service from 10:30 to 11:30. It will not include General Assembly. It will be livestreamed to Youtube and will be available as a recording thereafter. Details about our Sunday morning service will be available on our Upcoming Sundays page.
  • This will be followed by our regular coffee "hour" for 30 minutes. At 12 noon we will broadcast the General Assembly's Sunday morning worship service in the Lexow Wing. Light refreshments will be provided. We can pool our pennies and order pizza, if that's what the group decides. No registration required - just come.

Excerpts from UUA.org/GA:

Picture
For General Assembly in 2026, we are creating a virtual “everywhere GA” with both online and distributed in-person options that will allow Unitarian Universalists to participate in whichever way works best for them. This new format will reduce travel costs and environmental impacts, offer optional in-person connections, streamline production costs, and provide a more flexible schedule for participants.

We know there is a deep need in this moment to build and sustain community as Unitarian Universalists. Given the strain that our congregations and individual UUs face in the current political climate, when travel brings increased risks and person-to-person connection remains important to our continued thriving, we are leaning into this creative approach.

To maintain safety, accessibility, and equity, the UUA is offering several ways to engage with the content and connections offered at this virtual GA, including fully virtual participation streaming live across many time zones.

By experimenting with smaller, more localized gatherings we can uphold the value of equity for GA participants around the country and production quality that supports the experience of online attendees. Truly, we can be together everywhere as we build the courage and capacity to Meet the Moment.

Registration:

Registration is $350 per person if you register before May 1, $450 after that. Children are free with a registered adult

Business-only meetings (June 14-16) are $175, More details are available at UUA.org/ga/registration. Click here to register now.

Go to UUA.org/GA for more information.
Full GA Schedule
General Assembly 2026, Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere, will unfold in two parts with a midweek pause. From Sunday, June 14 to Tuesday, June16, delegates will engage in fully virtual General Sessions focused on the business of the Association. Programming resumes Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21 with worship, featured speakers, and Meet the Moment themed programs that can be experienced online, at the studio site in Louisville, or in participating local congregations. This flexible model makes GA more accessible, sustainable, and connected for UUs everywhere.

GA 2026 is structured differently from our more in-person General Assemblies. GA 2026 is designed as a primarily virtual experience, with optional ways to gather through community gatherings, satellite sites, and a studio site. This model allows us to focus on shared content that can be experienced together across many locations.

Because of this shift, the Service of the Living Tradition (SoLT) and Synergy will not be offered as part of GA 2026. Both of these events are deeply rooted in being together in one space, and we want to honor their full spirit and impact rather than adapt them in ways that might diminish the experience.

We look forward to welcoming both the Service of the Living Tradition and Synergy back in 2027, when the GA format can fully support them.
