The Democracy Action Team is hosting a screening of "Bad Faith 2026: Christian Nationalism in Power" at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 31, in the Sanctuary. The co-sponsors include Social Justice Alliance of the Florida Suncoast, Immigration Coalition of SWF, Suncoast Citizens for Separation of Church and State, and WSLR-Fogartyville. This feature-length documentary is based on the Bad Faith movie shown last year, edited to 77 minutes with 33 new minutes addressing the impacts of the Trump Administration policies. It explores the dangerous rise of Christian Nationalism in American politics

After the movie, Anne Nelson, who appears in the movie, will join us via Zoom for an open microphone discussion of the movie and the issues it raises. Anne is the author of Shadow Network, which exposes the radical right's efforts to promote their cause. According to Amazon's description of the book, "In a time of stark and growing threats to our most valued institutions and democratic freedoms, Shadow Network is essential reading."
